I don’t know about y’all, but I had an insanely productive weekend. I’m so proud of myself! I spent Saturday morning volunteering with the Pawfessionals at the Jacksonville Humane Society’s Mutt March.
I rearranged the furniture in my bedroom. I organized my closet. I cleaned. And cleaned. And cleaned some more. That’s what happens when I’m restless. I even ran a few miles. Yeah.
I also rented Breaking Dawn Part 2. I had to finish what I started years ago, guys! Years ago, I read the entire series two or three times. I’m not even going to pretend like I’m embarrassed that I was a bit of a Twihard, because I think a lot of us were. No shame! No spoilers, but I liked the movie ending WAY better than that crap Stephenie Meyer gave us in the book.
I also baked.
These bars combine two of my most favorite things: Nutella and Funfetti. Mind blown. These delicious cookie-like bars were a spur the moment decision after weeks of pestering from my friend Liz to make something with Nutella. They’re absolutely perfect for a quick sweet treat that isn’t too messy.
Nutella Marshmallow Bars
from Tasty Kitchen
Makes 20-25 bars
- 1 box Funfetti cake mix
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1 c. Nutella
- 1 c. marshmallow fluff
Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9×13 pan. In a large bowl, mix together Funfetti cake mix, butter, and milk. Press half the batter into the prepared 9×13. This layer will be thin. Spread Nutella over the batter. Gently spread marshmallow fluff over the Nutella, allowing it to swirl together. Crumble the remaining batter all over the top of the fluff. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until top and edges brown. Cut into squares and serve.
