Homemade Irish Cream

Can we talk about how I spent the week between Christmas and New Year’s?

Three words: Homemade Irish Cream.

Firstly, I didn’t even know that this was a thing. Making your own Irish cream? Pssssh. Irish cream is magical, therefore I figured that some amazing little leprechauns concocted it at the Bailey’s factory in Ireland (Yes, I know that Bailey’s is probably actually made in the US, but let me have my beliefs, k?). I was just sitting there innocently looking at some of my favorite blogs, and Shawn saw this recipe over my shoulder. Next thing I know, he’s making a list and headed to the store.

And we spent the next few days drinking it for breakfast and dessert and maybe a little in our coffee in-between meals. Personally, I thought it was better than Bailey’s – a bit more of a chocolate flavor, which is never a bad thing in my book. Also, it was amazingly easy to make. Just melt down some chocolate, mix a few things together, and chill. And I just had to share it… So head over to How Sweet Eats for the recipe! I heard she’s also making milkshakes out of it too…
