Heaven on Earth recently opened in San Marco – Maple Street Biscuit Company. Chick-Fil-A’s chicken biscuits have NOTHING on this place (and I used to be a chicken biscuit faithful). No more. I can officially walk away from the Hate Chicken cause I’ve found something even better.

So here’s the truth – last Saturday I was kinda sorta just a little bit hungover from a Christmas party the night before. I needed something fried, and I needed it fast. I’d heard all about Maple Street, but hadn’t had a chance yet. It was the perfect plan. After staring at the menu, I finally made my decision – The Five.

Fried chicken, maple bacon, cheddar cheese, and sausage gravy on a flaky, buttery biscuit. Seriously… Heaven. I’m pretty sure I gained 5lbs in one sitting, but I’d say it was absolutely worth it. It was easily one of the best things I’ve ever eaten….EVER.

I also got 1/2 a dozen Cinnamon Chip Biscuits to go. They’re a heavenly hybrid of biscuits and cinnamon rolls complete with a delicious glaze drizzled on top. I highly suggest giving them a try.
