Graffiti Junktion

Situated in the adorable Orlando neighborhood of Thornton Park is modern burger joint Graffiti Junktion.  Being the home of Mickey Mouse & a massive tourist trap, Orlando has an overabundance of crappy chain restaurants, so I was really excited when Stephanie’s friend Carla suggested a local restaurant. Their website boasts that they are “An American Burger Bar Like No Place Else”, so I had to find out what the fuss was all about.

The menu offers BBQ, a variety of sandwiches & their specialty burgers. I knew I had to order a burger & I debated heavily between the Cheese Head, which boasts four slices of American cheese inside & out, & the Lone Star, a bacon, cheddar & bbq sauce burger.

Eventually my desire for bacon won & I ordered the Lone Star:

When in Rome, right?

This juicy guy was definitely far above your average hamburger. The crispy bacon & sharp cheddar were perfectly complimented by the sweet BBQ sauce. Pure awesomesauce. The hand-cut fries were fresh, appropriately seasoned & fried to perfection. Huge fan of those french fries.

Then Carla had to out-do us all by ordering The Iron City – a colossal burger with Canadian bacon, egg, fries, American cheese & onions:

That size of that bad boy alone was impressive.

Graffiti Junktion also has some pretty great (read: affordable) happy hour specials, which I’m always a fan of. Definitely on my list of Must-Eats in Orlando!

  1. I haven’t been there yet myself but I’ve heard great things about it. How could you NOT love handcut french fries! Yummmm… they look like the delicious kinds you find at carnivals or state fairs.
