Do you know what’s in 10 days?

I do. It’s one of my favorite holidays (& by holiday, I mean “drinking day”).

It involves tacos & margaritas… two of my most favorite things.

If you’re living under a rock or haven’t figured it out yet, it’s almost Cinco de Mayo! Now, I don’t know what your plans are, but mine will probably involve tacos & margaritas, of course!

Specifically, the tacos & margaritas from Cantina Laredo…. because I love them so dearly. So if you’re not doing anything for Cinco de Mayo, might I suggest the following?

  1. Going to GET-A-ROOM (WHOOP!) and go out with the hubby and do Cinco up right.

  2. Favorite Cinco memory was actually at Cantina Laredo at the Town Center four years ago. Went with a group of friends and two guys at the next table had amazing sombreros. We kept looking over and admiring the sombreros. I nervously walked over, asked if I could take a picture with them and more than willingly, they obliged. I still have the picture. (will have to dig it up and figure out how to post it to your blog, it’s quite good) I love when people get into character or get overly excited about holidays. Life is too short not to wear sombreros.

  3. I’m boring so I don’t have any hugely exciting Cinco memories. haha. But I’m always up for queso or margaritas!!! 🙂

  4. Cinco de Mayo was a lot more fun in college, but if I won your giveaway, maybe it’d be quite fun this year, too.

  5. We will probably be boring this year what with the new baby and all. Hopefully we can make it out for a margarita though!

  6. We chose our wedding date so we could have our rehearsal dinner on Cinco De Mayo. We had a party in the backyard which included mexican fare and margarita machine. Fun times!

  7. Since I’m knocked up this year I won’t be enjoying a nice margarita (sad face), but I might just have to splurge on a virgin one. Plus some yummy chips and queso!
    PS: Hi!

  8. I honestly don’t have a good Cinco de Mayo memory from the past – but this year’s going to make up for that!! (Plus it’s one of my birthday weekends! My bday falls mid-week so that means I get to celebrate TWICE AS LONG!) Can’t wait!

  9. we celebrate it “family” style w/virgin drinks and plenty of great mexican food !!!

  10. I can’t say I have any Cinco memories but I certainly have plenty of Cantina ones!

  11. My favorite Cinco de Mayo memory was last year! Let me start by saying, I LOVE CINCO DE MAYO and always attend the celebration at the Town Center and enjoy food and drinks at Cantina Laredo. Last year, my group of friends and I were planning to meet up as usual and enjoy the festivities. This particular time, my boyfriend was adamant about going which he doesn’t usually like to go with just “the girls.” To make a long story short, he surprised me with a beautiful blue box with a white ribbon followed by a beautiful proposal at my favorite restaurant during one of my favorite celebrations! of course I said yes and we had the most awesome time ever. I just had my bridal shower where it all began at Cantina on 4/14. We tried so hard to get May 5, 2012 for our weddin date but the venue was already booked. It’s okay, I will be marrying my BFF on May 26, 2012 and it couldn’t be better!

  12. My plans for Cinco de Mayo are to join my girls at Cantina Laredo for the best Maragritas in town and delicious food. My best Cinco de mayo memory is I was having a tough day at work and just wanted to go home. At 4:45 I got a text from my bestie asking to meet for happy hour. I declined and said maybe another time. Her exact words to me were “b*@%h its Cinco de mayo, meet me at twisted martini for $1 Maragritas and $1 coronas”, lol! I ended having a great time and spending less than $20 bucks. One of my best memories!

  13. Going to World of Nations for Cinco de Mayo this year! Tequila shots in Mexico, anyone?

  14. Hmmmm this year I plan on going to Cantina Laredo for Cinco de Mayo and indulging in their infamous margaritas!

  15. I’m running the Donna 5K at TPC this Cinco de Mayo. A Cantina Laredo margarita would be the perfect reward for finishing my second 5k!

  16. Cinco de Mayo, 2012. What will I be doing that I feel is completely worthy of one of your prizes? To start off with, after 4 long and hard years, I will be graduating from Jacksonville University, earning my B.S. degree. But, more importantly, later that day I will take the Oath of Office and become a commissioned officer in the United States Navy and start fully serving my country. As a college grad and as a newly instated Ensign in the Navy, I feel like you should hook a brother up with something!
(Also, I would love to go to Cantina Laredo and indulging in their Cinco Mas ‘Rita I keep hearing about on the radio (; )

    Happy Trails and much love!

  17. My favorite Cinco de Mayo memory actually took place in Cancun back in 2005. I took a trip with some friends and family for my best friends’ 21st birthday. Nothing beats drinking margaritas by the Ocean in Mexico!

  18. About 20 years later than expected, I am finally graduating Junior College on 5/4, so getting together with the family on Cinco de Mayo for “nacho” ordinary graduation party!! Plans include a taco bar with all the fixings and some virgin margaritas all around!!

  19. My hubby and I will be celebrating a big anniversary tomorrow and while searching for restaurant info, I discovered your blog – love it!

  20. Im getting married next week. So may 5th is my bachelorette party. Were getting massages and beauty pamp dring the day. And that night going to cantina loredo for margaritas and salsa dancing!

  21. I will be sipping on “The Siren”, a Bavarian Schwarzbier (Black Lager) with 3 types of peppers (anchos, guajillos and chipotles) from Intuition Ale Works! Spice’eh!
